Happy Mardi Gras!

Today our little family is going out beggin' for beads at the parades.

I made a couple Mardi Gras aprons to help celebrate in style:

I made this one for a friend as a surprise.....I don't know if she got it yet...

I made this one for me...

HAPPY MARDI GRAS!

Wow what fantastic aprons. I love the Mardi Gras Fabric. We never see any of that in our area. I just love the masks and color combinations on items at the Mardi Gras. Your apron looks fantastic on you by the way!!!!
I am sure your friend will love it :) I bet you had tons of fun going out and begging beads with your children :)

Your full apron looks terrific on you! I know you prefer half ones, but that is just perfect. Have a blast today. Hope you find time to stop at a thrift store or two in search of some vintage linens.

I just came across a blog post on Sand Between My Toes
http://snowbirdblogspotcom.blogspot.com/2009/02/mardi-gras-periwinkle-park-style.html

She posts about Mardi Gras on Sanibel Island. Cute pictures of the seniors celebrating in a parade. Thought you might find it interesting.

The full apron you made is wonderful. I know you always say you prefer a half apron, but now that you have a full apron that fits you perfectly, what do you think? Is that pattern from 'A is for Apron'?

That fabric is great! I really like the apron you sent and received! I can't believe we haven't met before with all of the swaps we've both been in.

Love that pattern. I made the same pattern for Marcel's Valentine apron swap too! So I was wondering if you made yours the same size as the book suggested. It was quite a job enlarging the pattern 400%....I think that's what it said.? I had to print it out on the blue print printer as work:( it was not a quick job
