First, both Matt and Kaela had a bad stomach flu. Matt had his Friday night....followed by Kaela on Saturday. I spent both days playing Nurse Nightingale to my two sweet kids. Needless to say, I was looking forward to a good night sleep by Sunday.
Luckily both of them were well for the church's annual Turkey Bowl.
It is a tradition that started the year after Katrina. This was our first game and we were not disappointed!
Bruce, the youth director reminding everyone what the rules are...
His team came in first while her team came in second. Did I mention our kids are REALLY competitive?
There isn't much that can make me miss a Saints game.....but this was well worth it. Not only did we have a great time, but we enjoyed spending the day with the kids.

Glad they were better in time for some fun!!! It looks like y'all had a great time:-)
Looks like a great time was had by all! Thanks for sharing your family fun.
The illness sounds bad but the game sounds like fun. Being from the East we're Pat's fans but I've felt a soft spot for the Saints since Katrina.
Glad to see they were well enough to hit the playing field. Lots of folks are sick around here right now due to colds and flu. Our weather is in extremes at the moment. Cool evenings, hot days, muggy afternoons. Today is sticky. Yuck! My ankle doesn't allow me to get around like I want to. Man, when you are down and out, you realize just how important mobility is, and staying healthy. :) Wishing you a great week. Tammy
