Everywhere I go I see people using the Kindle or the Nook........but I'm not ready to give up actual books. I love the feel of them, the smell of them. I love everything about them. I love to swap them, to put them on my shelf and pull them down to reread later...

Besides, if I didn't have an actual book, I wouldn't need to make these:

I can't resist a pretty bookmark....especially one that has been handmade.

first of all....i feel the same way about actualy books that you do...i love the feel of one...the smell of a new one...the creaky sound a new book is strangely nice.
by the way....i have been thinking about little goodies to make and give to my students at my annual holiday party (last year i made refrigerator magnets with Christmas decorations) and i have been tossing the idea of bookmarks around....yours look so nice...they may be inspiring me!! thank you, my friend!!!
have a great weekend!!!

AMEN! I LOVE a bookmark. I am just getting done reading Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs, it's awesome I bet you and your kids would like it.

Yep, I feel the same way! Though when it comes to magazines, I gotta say, I get more than enough inspiration right here in blogland. But for reading purposes, give me a real book any day. In fact, I will never be one who advances with technology like the rest of the world. I think it is all great, but many aspects of it have gotten way out of hand. I prefer to remain a bit old fashioned where that is concerned. Hope your weekend is great. Tammy

I love real books too and don't know if I can make the switch to an e-reader. I have a huge shelf full of books and can't imagine not having books to hold! Like you I love a pretty bookmark too!
