pretty in pink

Notice anything new in this picture?

As in TWO needles instead of ONE hook?
Well, a co-worker taught me how to knit the other day.
I've been wanting to learn to knit for a long time but never got around to it.
Jeannine persuaded me to try and  taught me the "knit stitch" so I could do one particular project .    I was surprised at how quickly I learned.  I would have tried it ages ago if I have had known.

Here is the scarf I made my friend...Kaela says it looks like roses.

If you've ever wanted to learn something new...do it.  It was a nice challenge and the outcome was totally worth the effort.

I've often marveled that you did not knit, yet crocheted so beautifully (and prolifically!). Now you can do both! Yay! I'm sure you'll be cranking out lots of knitted wonderfulness :-)

That scarf is pretty. Yayyyy on learning the knitting. You were probly like me. I thought knitting was so complicated with 2 needles and everything. A while back I bought a beginner knitting book (for a very beginner) and surprisingly I self taught myself. I made slippers! Really surprising! I know you will be making lovely gifts with your new talent!

Hooray for you! I did the sames thing--been crocheting since childhood, and can only knit dishcloths and these scarves! (They only use the garter stitch!!) I'm too busy with quilting to learn more. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!)

Knew you'd love it :-)
There'll be no stopping you now !!!
Love that scarf - I bought that same yarn just the other day to do a scarf for "The Pink Project". Great minds think alike :-)

Wow! I wish much rugmaking went so quickly. You did great. My cousin tried to teach me to knit but it just did not make sense to me at all. Good for you! The scarf is gorgeous. Best wishes, Tammy

I'm very impressed! I love these scarves. Kerry makes them too. I have one that she made for me, and love it. They are so pretty! SomedayI want to learn to crochet but I think I might come to your house for the lesson.
