Louisiana is big on appreciation of the arts and all students have to have a year of some type of art or music class before graduation.
Matt decided on Fine Art Appreciation but he didn't know he would actually have to DRAW anything.
Then he went to class on Monday and the teacher said they had to draw an animal and paint it.
Soooooo, he decided the easiest thing to draw would be a jellyfish:
I love it. My boy does art :-)

He did a great job. Good for him. I also see that Curly Girl has a new drawing. The rose look realistic!! You have two talented kids.
I guess he thought he would just be looking at art and talking about it. Cute jelly fish.
My oldest son took art in middle school but when he realized how hard it was gonna be, he decided to switch to band. I wish my kids loved to draw but they don't and don't care to try. I'm glad to see that education has changed in Louisiana since I graduated in 84. I took courses that I thought would help me after graduation, like accounting (which I failed) and typing (which has served me well). After that, they made learning another language as part of the graduation requirements. Glad that came after I graduated because I probably would have failed that class, too. I've been in Kuwait 17 years and still only know basic Arabic. Hope you are having a good day. Tammy
Great job! I love the lines and the texture! Good work Matt!
