Hello and welcome to Yarnigras.
I'm a work in progress, an artsy/craftsy, happily married, working mother of 2 children and 4 fur babies.
I started blogging when I moved to a new place and didn't have any friends. I've met some wonderful people this way and am so happy I did because they inspire me to be more creative and they allow glimpses into their own crafty worlds.
As always, thank you to all who pop by to visit my humble blog.
Check out this cute skirt I got at Goodwill for 2 bucks. I fell in love with it immediately. I enjoy repurposing things so I knew that I would be making something out of it.
It was a large size so I took it apart and cut it up.....added some 'stuff' and now it looks like this:
My Island Girl apron!
The best part is I have enough leftover to make another apron!
This is the first time in 5 days I have been able to access your blog . It kept telling me you went private. I was going to email you but I just did not have time. I am glad what ever was wrong for me is now working.

Unreal. What a makeover! Soooo cute with the ball trim, Val! My little one used to call them "nummies".:) Lori
That is super cute! It looks awesome as an apron! :)
Whoa, SO cute!! I've been making some aprons lately, too, but I hadn't thought of repurposing a skirt. You're on to something, clever girl!
I knew from the first picture and 1st paragraph that it would become an apron!! Very cute!
I like it better as an apron. Excellent job!
