Dean is trying to be good (bah!) so I had to get creative for his August dessert.
I decided to make something out of the Barefoot Contessa At Home cookbook. It used homemade granola, fruit and yogurt.
I change one thing. I used vanilla yogurt instead of plain since I had it on hand.
Here it is in a pretty glass...ready to eat!
Since I hate yogurt, I didn't even try it but Dean and the kids gave it two thumbs up.

My kids love snacks like this. I need to go and find some fun glasses to make parfaits in. Right now mine are delicious but not very pretty.
I love how something like this is healthy but also feels "bad".
Looks very yummy to me:-)
Looks good. How about calling it breakfast dessert? It's a breakfast that is a dessert.
Where's the wine and cheese? Ha! Your yogurt parfait is definitely something that I could eat for breakfast or as a snack. We just got back from Paris -- every morning, besides croissants and baguettes, I had natural yogurt with granola, raisins, nuts and fruits. My 12 year old said it looked like throw up. :/ It certainly tasted much better than that. :) Hope you are having a good weekend. Tammy
I gotta try this! Looks YummY!
