Mosaic Monday

I could never keep anything alive in this strawberry pot so I did mosaic work on it out of frustration.
It turned out to be a great idea.

Now it is insulated enough that the water doesn't leach out too quickly.

The plants in it have been there since 2003!
Each time we move, I think they'll die and I'll have to re plant but it never happens....they are always thriving.

In fact, the long plant trailing down the right side has to be trimmed by half at the end of each summer.
It is now one very happy strawberry pot!

Love all your mosaic work. I have a friend here who goes and buys odd tiles to make tables with. Turns out, the tile places will give you free ones if you just ask and she's been buying them all this time. :/ I keep saying I want to give it a go but so far haven't. Have a terrific Tuesday. Tammy

Your mosaic pot looks great Val. Isn't it amazing how plants manage to survive? I had a lovely big palm type tree called a 'Cordyline' and after our exceptionally cold winter it died off. I cut it down and just a stumpy bit was left. It has grown again from the stumpy bit and I haven't even watered it! I am thrilled.
Hope you had a good birthday yesterday.

Love it! The plants look so lovely in it. I'm not doing very well growing anything....It's almost too hot to go out and water the plants!
