I carefully painted an expanding tax file folder front (under the flap) with chalk board paint so it wouldn't warp. This covered up the big IRS on it and makes it a fun space too. Once dry, I used stencils on the flap to label it.
I then carefully removed half the partitions in it to make room for the activities.
I made a few activities and bought a few and filled up several zipper bags.
I used 3 ring zipper bags (in case they want to put them in a binder instead) and then simply popped them into the folder file.

You never cease to amaze me Val .... wish I had done that when my kids were little. Great Christmas idea for my little niece and nephew though:-)
Big Hugs
that is a great idea! I am making quilts....I have a lot to do in a short time...
Cute idea. When I see parents out with their kids who are bored silly and causing a ruckus, I always wonder to myself why they didn't bring something along to keep them entertained. Heck, even I get bored if I sit too long. Gotta have something to do (good thing I carry along yarn and word searches in my purse). :) Best wishes, Tamy
I need to do something like this for my sons 2 little ones as he takes them out while mom sleeps during the day for her late night shift!
