Hittin' The Trail....in style

I'm in an apron swap on swap-bot right now. The theme is "Hittin' the Trail"....for cowboy or western inspired aprons and recipes.
My partner got her apron from me already so I can safely post the pictures now without spoiling the fun.
I had some cowboy fabric picked out but Linda really isn't into the whole cowboy look and said she preferred bandana fabric. I was in luck because Hobby Lobby had this pretty fabric on sale. Once I found the gingham, I new it would come together and be cute.

I added 3 one pot recipes....Cowboy Cobbler, Strick'n Chicken Stew and Chuck Wagon Chili.
I also included a few tea bags and some cooking utensils to complete the package for her.

YEE-HAW!

Hey Val,
I was just looking through a few blogs from some Apronista friends and there was my cute apron. I appreciate that you changed your plan to the bandanna print, but I'm sure whatever you chose would have been adorable. I also changed my fabric choice after checking out my swap partner. I might post another hint on the FickR page tomorrow and I hope to mail by the end of this week. I wanted to tell you how much I liked everything you sent, even the beautiful ribbon tied around my package. The recipes sound yummy. I want to try the cobbler recipe first. I love peach cobbler. Thanks again.
Linda

Hey, Val ~
I really like the colors in your apron here. Those black checks look great with the red! Very nice.

Hi
I found your site by perusing through other ones, it can be fun. I love the western apron it is so clever.
Just wondered if you have ever heard of brocantehome.editboard.com
and www.pioneerwomancooks.com I think she would love your apron...
and brocante is a vintage housekeeping site with a forum.
Anyway, I have a collection of aprons for the girls that come to my house to bake, they actually nicely argue who is going to wear what. Love it. Just had to comment. thebarbarashow.blogspot.com
