Vintage Thingie Thursday

Okay, so I stole someone's title.

I don't normally do vintage thingie posts but since I got a special vintage thingie in the mail last week, I decided I HAD to post it.

After all, it made me squeal. Even my husband loved it....and he isn't necessarily fond of elves....

But just LOOK......and I think you'll agree, these are the cutest elves ever!

Here they are climbing up their little ladder....

Hey little blue guy!

further down the ladder are a few more....

Now I'm sure you all want to know where I got such a wonderful vintage thingie, right?

My sweet bloggy friend Very Mary mailed it to me as a surprise! Oh my gosh, I can't tell you how much I love it! Thank you so much, you truly made my day!

  1. Love it! Reminds me of the elves my Grandmother used to use on her tree:) She gifted me her Dept. 58 Snow Village this year, check it out: http://richmonddavis4.blogspot.com/2009/12/christmas-past.html

I just wanted to say thank you, I've been following along with your blog for a while now. And I too just signed up for the Destash in 2010, excited! I am hoping this will be training for apron swapping to come! I have never joined one cause I find the rules quite intimating! Hope to participate in one soon!

Thanks and Happy New Year! Christine :D

  2. Those are SO COOL! I've never seen elves on a lighted ladder like that. Was it made or did she find them that way?

  4. I found them that way! I tend to sort of hoard stuff - but not in that really awful A&E tv special way. So when I saw some of her vintage ornaments, I knew the elves belonged with her. After all, we didn't get our tree up until about an hour before Christmas.
