This is my second year dropping toys for the Toy Society. We had so much fun doing it as a family last year.
I'd let the month slip away and almost didn't get this done in time!
Curly Girl was sick and had an appointment with her pediatrician on Saturday.
I threw this little zebra together in about 10 minutes. No time for eyes or anything but I think he was cute anyway!
We planned on leaving it in this chair but as soon as we put it down a ton of people walked in so I stuffed it in my tote.
We ended up tying it on the scale in the hallway as we left after the appointment!
We had to be quick so I didn't get a photo of it there.
Knowing another sick child would find it made her feel better.
I felt better knowing she did NOT have the flu....we are still waiting on the results from her strep test but since she is feeling better today, I don't think she has it.
that is the sweetest zebra :D
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear Curly Girl is feeling better. I am absolutely AMAZED by this post, not only by your talent (how fabulous is that zebra) but also by your generosity. I have never heard of the Toy Society but think it is an absolutely wonderful idea!! Your post really made me feel warm inside :o)

Love the Zebra.....only took you minutes....wow! The Toy Society is a great way to make an ill child feel a little better. Great job!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous concept! Your zebra is cutie patootie! I just joined Toy Society too. Never heard of 'em before.
ReplyDeletePretty good stash busting idea too!
I am so glad people are interested in spreading the joy....one toy at a time. Welcome Aboard!!!
ReplyDeleteThe zebra turned out cute! It's nice that a sick kid will find it.
ReplyDeleteGlad Curly Girl is feeling a bit better.
We have snow here, enough that the city is shut down for another day or two and of course, Kyle wakes up with a cough. Since his walking phneumia(sp) we have to be very careful and NOTHING is open to even get a script if we need it!!
ReplyDeleteGlad she's feeling better, do you know the results yet? Cute little zebra! Probably a good thing he has no eyes, in case the child who found him was quite young.
ReplyDeleteLots of kitty cuddles for Curly Girl is the cure I think! Warm cups of tea with lemon and honey, a nice warm bed in front of the tv and lots of kisses from Mum!
Hope Curly Girl is better. That Zebra would make any child feel better.. really cute.
ReplyDeleteI want to join, please tell me how!

What a wonderful idea, to leave a toy for a sick child. I love random acts of kindness like that.
